Current Face Masks

I love me a face mask. I love all kinds, and don’t discriminate. I love sheet masks, clay masks, cooling masks, warming masks, fresh masks, home made masks, you name it - I love it. I thought I would share the three face masks that I have been loving this Winter with you.

The Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Sheet Mask* (RRP $29.99 for 4 pack) are great to use before a intensive moisturiser to really plump up the skin’s hydration (a must in these Winter months). They release a slow active enzyme of hyaluronic acid, which allows your skin to soak up additional moisture over the next 24 hours. After having the mask on for ten minutes, you massage the remaining serum-like product into your skin, and then continue on with your night time routine. I love teeming this with the People for Plants Night Cream* for a deep, nourishing night time sleep.

I recently picked up The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask (RRP $28.95 100mL) and I have been loving the warming sensation for Winter time. I use this one while I am in the bath, to keep my face warm while my body is soaking. It contains kaolin clay, ginger and cinnamon oil for a deep cleansing action on blemished skin. It absorbs oil easily, and when it comes in contact with water, it has a lovely, warming effect to help open the pores. Be careful not to get this one in your eyes, it will hurt!

The 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Mud Mask (RRP $1.99 for 2 pack) is one of the cheapest and easiest masks I do! This one is a mud mask that refines pores and helps heal blemishes. This has a mild, natural fruit acid from the strawberries that works as a gentle exfoliator of dead skin cells. It also contains salicylic acid to help heal breakouts and minimize pores. It’s a great mask for a lazy night and helps keep skin looking radiant for the week ahead.

When you are a bit time poor, the Clearasil Vitamins & Extracts Daily Wash* (RRP $10.99) can double as a face mask while you are in the shower. For a full review on this face mask, click here.

I’ve been looking at buying Hydraluron, but I didn’t know they came in masks! My face definitely needs added moisture. I don’t have any masks that I regularly use, not since finishing my Lush Oatifix mask a wee while ago.

I haven’t tried the Lush Oatifix mask, how did you find it? :)

      • Lena

It was okay, but nothing that special really. I won’t be repurchasing I don’t think

Definitely! You do need to follow with a good moisturiser, it’s not moisturising in and of itself, but combined with a moisturiser, it’s amazing!

I haven’t tried a warming face mask but it sounds cool! The Formula 10.0.6 stung my skin so bad but they worked I guess haha :)

Oh my, that doesn’t sound good at all :( I had no stinging sensations using that mask. I remember back in 2002ish when I first tried Formula 10.0.6 (Ten-O-Six back then) they had a cleanser/toner that stung SO BAD. I thought it was doing wonders for my skin because it was so tingly. How wrong I was :P
