Collective Haul!
So in the last week or so, I have been doing a spot of shopping, hence the haul. “But Kate!” I hear you cry in despair, “You can’t spend money at the moment!!!!” Never fear, dear reader, I was being super thrifty. I was armed with a Priceline gift voucher, a 40% of Priceline sale and a dollar store. Boom. I did pick up a few extra things from the Discount Warehouse Chemist (savings!) and I purchased a new skincare regime from a Salon (I had a voucher!) so all in all, I have been pretty controlled in my opinion!
First up is the Dollar Store. I went to The Reject Shop and picked up a couple of items, all for about $20.
I am not one of those people who always has a candle burning. I even hesitate leaving a room with the candle still alight. IS THAT SAFE? But, I couldn’t pass up this deliciously scented candle! It was $2.50 (!) and even though the scent sounds weird, I love it! It’s like a creamy citrus, so good!
This product purchase was a win, and then a fail, and then win again! I found actual Revlon Moon Candy in this store for $4 (WIN!). I tried it out when I got it home and the glitter was all crusty (FAIL). So I pulled out my Seche Restore, put in a couple of drops and voila! It’s as good as new (WIN!).
I saw these nail polish remover pads for only $3 (for 2!) and they looked really cute. They smell amazing and work pretty well in getting nail polish off my nails.
This is the Micro fibre Hair Wrap that I bought and I am looking forward to using it! I have a micro fibre regular smaller towel that I normally use as a hair wrap, but this one was $2 and has a button so you can secure it to your head while lazing in the tub.
I spotted this cute glass jar with a wee owl on the front! So cute You may have seen this in my Basic Vanilla Sugar Scrub post. It was $4 and I love it
I found Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups for only $3, which can normally only be found in specialty stores in Australia. Safe to say I ate all of these in a day. Whoops.
I also bought this nifty storage unit for cotton pads and ear buds, because I needed to stop just having the boxes of those things on my bathroom counter! This was the last thing I got from the dollar store
Next stop was Priceline to take advantage of the 40% off cosmetics range, and also I received a voucher for my birthday. PLUS I received my December quarter Sister Points of $17. Score! This helped me spend over $100 for essentially nothing.
I had just run out of all my stocked up Dry Shampoo, so I picked up Batiste Cherry Scented - my fave scent! I’ve had this before in sample size and I really loved it.
After using up my last Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder I decided I wanted to try the L’Oreal Nude Magique BB Powder in Light again. I really loved this last time I used it because it is so finely milled and has more coverage than the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.
I picked up the Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner and I’ve used it every day since! The tip on this liner is so fine! I can’t believe how great it is It’s super black as well which I really like.
I bought the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer as well, which is pretty nice to use but I think it’s a little too dark for my skin tone. I’ve been using it underneath my foundation so I can still use it
I had to get a lipstick because LIPSTICK guys. I ended up choosing a Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick because a lot of the new releases like Revlon Matte Balms are STILL not available in any stores in my area. -_- I got Plum Velour which is a gorgeous pinky plum shade that is perfect for fall. I have a lot of plum lipsticks, I think it’s my favourite shade
Last from Priceline I found a nail polish by Revlon for 60 cents! That’s insane! It’s Plum Night, an almost black plum shade which reminds me of Lincoln Park After Dark.
Next from Discount Chemist Warehouse, I picked up just a couple of things that had pretty good mark downs, and I had to get some medication as well, boring. Lol.
Next I spotted Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel in Bordeaux. I bit the bullet and finally picked one out! I have been eyeing these for a while and never thought they would smell so good once they’ve dried!
When I went to the Priceline sale I also really wanted to pick up a plum lip liner, but they were absolutely cleaned out. I spotted one by Rimmel at the Warehouse and thought, what the heck. I haven’t used this yet but I am pretty excited. It will make my plum lip looks last longer than ever
Last, but not least, I spotted some marked down OPI Liquid Sand colours from the Bond Girls collection in my local Woolworths. I picked up Solitaire, which is a beautiful, snowy silver white.
What have you picked up lately?
Stay Minty!
