I recently picked up the Office Essentials (RRP $23.00 + $6.99 postage) box from the Memebox site. This is the first memebox I’ve ordered and I have to say, I am pretty impressed with my experience! Shipping was quick and on time, I like how there is no ‘subscription’ service as such, and you can choose what kind of box you want, and they have an amazing range of korean products to choose from!
To say I was confused about the Shocking Toner (RRP $28.00) would be an understatement. I had to fish out my card that came with the memebox to really understand what the eff this thing does! Toner to me says “skincare, between cleansing and moisturizing” but this toner is a different kettle of fish.
It can be used as a in-between skincare like others, but this jelly-like formula can also be mixed in with your foundation or BB cream to make a super hydrating and dewy finish. I have been mixing it with my new BB cream by Skin79 and I have to say, I am hooked! It makes for such a smooth, even application and can really boost your skin’s suppleness. As someone who works in an office with air conditioning, it means my skin isn’t freaking out with oil by the end of the day!
Perfume Fabric Mist Fatastique (RRP $6.00 60mL) is sort of like Febreze, in that it gives your clothes a refreshing scent without needing a wash (great for jeans as well, I know that over washing denim can weaken the fabric and remove the dye). The scent is light and floral, and pretty much smells like freshly washed clothes. Love this for long days or getting that second wear out of your work pants.
As someone with oily skin, the Rivecowe Sebum Control Convenient Compact (RRP $17.00) is a welcome addition to my collection. This compact is SO GOOD. Period. I apply it with the sponge provided to press the powder into my T-Zone. I don’t think I’ve used a powder quite as amazing as this before. It lasts for ages, soaks up oil like a sponge and doesn’t leave skin looking cakey. It is also paraben and talc free - added bonus! 10/10 A+ would buy again.
After about 3 months of lash extensions, it was time to come back to the world of mascara, so I was excited to see a new one to try out in this box! Hope Girl 140 Super Mascara (RRP $22.00) is a black, waterproof mascara, just the way I like ‘em! I will be doing a full review on this one soon, along with a couple of other mascaras I’ve been trying out lately
Okay, I feel like for the past year I’ve been banging on about how I am not a lipgloss girl, but I’ve found some really great glosses lately that aren’t sticky or tacky, and I feel like a big phony now haha! The Very Six Kissing Lip Gloss (RRP $17.00) is a hydrating gloss (almost like a gloss/balm hybrid) and has a great scent which I can’t quite to compare to anything (if you’ve tried it, help me out here! I am at a loss!).
These Pure Smiles Refresh Tissue in Juicy Fruits (RRP $3.00 each) are great for stashing in your bag for removing makeup before gym in the afternoon (which is exactly what I’ve used them for) or even post-gym so you don’t reek of BO after a workout. Cooling refreshing wipes are big in Asian countries right now, and I am loving these ones!
I am an avid coffee drinker, so I was quite excited to spot these bonus extras in the box. The two Maxim Maxim Mocha Gold (RRP $21.99 for a box of 100!!!) have been stowed away in my drawer at my desk for when I run out of my regular coffee in the cupboard. These include powdered milk and a little sweetener in the pack as well, so it’s super easy and quick for those who are time poor.
Overall, I have to say I am pretty impressed with this Memebox. The value was over $80 in this box, which in my mind is $50 profit
Have you tried out Memebox yet? How was your experience?
