October 2013 Monthly Favourites

Didn’t October shoot by quickly? I was dreaming of Halloween and then it’s just gone instantly! It’s time like this that makes me wish I didn’t have to sleep, I’d get so much done!

October has been an extremely exciting and busy month for me, and a lot of great products (some old, some new) have been featuring almost every day on my mug.

Beauty Favourites

L’Oreal  Nude Magique CC Cream - Anti-Dullness - RRP $26.95

This purple CC Cream is amazing. I hauled it at the end of September when I broke my 100 Day Spending Ban, and I have to say, I am really happy I did :P The CC Cream really brightens up my face, but it makes for a lighter and dewier finish than a regular foundation. Check out my review on all three L’Oreal CC Creams from their Nude Magique range here.

Physician’s Formula Happy Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in Natural - RRP $21.95

Ah the sex blush. This was hauled not too long ago when I went to Roma and Toowoomba mid October. It claims to contain plant extracts that is supposed to make you feel like you do post-coitus. I can’t vouch for that, but I can’t get over how adorable the blush is in the pan, and it makes for a lovely spring glow (not that kind of glow though ;))

Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen in 01 Blackest Black - RRP $25.95

After using gel eye liner for quite some time, it was very refreshing to use a liquid eyeliner! I love the glossy effect that it gives a very precise line. It’s super easy to control because it’s kind of just like using a sharpie :)

P1100009

Revlon Pink Sizzle Super Lustrous Lipstick - RRP $21.95

Check out my review on this lipstick here. Yup, it’s still my stand out favourite coral lipstick. I am going to do a post soon on my Top 5 coral/orange shades that I have found, but this one is definitely my favourite. It’s smooth, the perfect shade between pink and orange, and lasts well throughout the day!

Non-Beauty Faves

ASMR Videos

Short for Audio Sensory Meridian Response, and they are the hottest thing on YouTube this minute. If you like being relaxed and falling asleep easier, these videos are for you! They can be role plays wear you get a hair cut, or an eye examination. And then there are ‘trigger’ videos with tapping, scratching, brushing and other sounds. Don’t judge me! My favourite ASMR guru is Maria from Gentle Whisperings. She is just fantastic, show make sure you check her out!

Indian Food

I think every single Friday night in October I have had Butter Chicken with saffron rice and a garlic naan bread from various Indian Takeaway stores in my little town. Talk about delicious! I could go some right now.

bitstrips

Bit Strips

I am sure everyone is nearly sick to death of these but I think they are hilarious! You make an avatar of yourself and you can make comics by yourself or with friends! And best of all it’s free! Head to your application store on your phone and download immediately! Join the fun!

I hope you enjoyed your October as much as I did! What is your go-to faves of the month?

Stay Minty!

  1. Arggg! The bitstrips from my facebook friends are driving me up the wall lol.

I’ll have to check out those ASMR vids - I quite often watch youtube before I go to bed but as I’m usually watching haul/unboxing/favourites/empties vids it just makes me more awake as I want to read up about all the products mentioned :D

    • Hahaha sorry. I think Bit Strips are hilarious :P But only normally for the people involved.

There are some very strange ASMR videos, so tread carefully! I find Maria’s to be the most relaxing and least weird haha. Let me know how you go!

  2. I’ve wanted that cute Physician’s Formula blush for so long. That Super Lusterous Lipstick looks so good. Those bit strips look like a lot of fun. I’m going to check out those YouTube videos, you’ve got me curious about them now. Have a great weekend!

    • Haha Shannon gets Cheese and Garlic Naan but I like the garlic on it’s own :) Actually funny story - gave the rats some garlic naan and it gave them garlic breath. Big mistake haha!
