It’s that time of month again where I show you all my favourite things (besides raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens of course). Some of these are newbies (also looks like I missed a couple in my haul post - whoopsie!) and some are old favourites that have been repurchased again and again.
The Philosophy 3-in-1 Cleanser* and Philosophy Hope in a Jar Moisturiser* have been firm favourites this June. It’s a lovely change from my usual foaming cleansers and I have really been savouring my skincare regime as a result. There is just something so luxurious about using a creamy cleanser and following it with a light as air moisturiser. #wouldwashagain
Despite loving my new cleanser, I have been having some hormonal breakouts in June (it’s such a blessing to be a woman), so my best friend has been Revlon ColorStay Concealer in Light. It’s a great medium-to-high coverage concealer that lasts most of day and covers those bad boys up good and proper! The shade might be just smidge too light for my complexion, but I normally cover with foundation and powder, so it’s not a big issue.
My first purchase from The Balm Cosmetics is Cabana Boy Shadow/Blush and I am loving it. It is super pigmented, so you really just need the tiniest bit to get a lovely, flushed plum cheek. I nabbed this one from BuyInvite.com for a criminal amount of money, I am not even sorry
My lipstick of the month would definitely have to be the new Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Sloane’s Plum*, which has been my go-to plum for June. It is more of a muted, understated plum shade than my others, but has AMAZING moisturisation and has SPF 20. I love the scent too
Essie’s Bikini So Teeny has been on my wish list for MONTHS. I think my obsession began in December when I couldn’t find it in Brisbane. I finally tracked it down at the end of May and it has barely left my fingers. I love the baby blue shade, and I think it suits both work days and casual days. This one might be my Something Blue on my wedding day (one day). Sigh
Unfortunately for my waistline, I’ve really been loving this One Minute Microwave Cookie by Sweetest Kitchen. I have tweaked the recipe a little to suit my tastes and microwave, so let me know if you would like to see my version of this delicious, easy dessert!
What have been your favourites for June?
